Just like the year before when the amazing Last Supper painting by Scarlett Rouge the wall adorned behind the long table. One of my visitors favourite reads since I showed this on the blog earlier: The Last Supper by Scarlett Rouge | Milan Design Week 2023 I had the pleasure to visit Studio Rö in Milan again earlier this year and see new work of Scarlett Rouge.
Scarlett Rouge is a multi- disciplinary artist whose work spans installations, oil paintings, sculptures, and textiles. Her practice is rooted in exploring themes of mythology, spirituality, and the human psyche, often drawing upon religious and cultural symbols to bridge the gap between the mystical and the mundane.
Scarlett Rouge x cc-tapis
At Studio Rö earlier this year, and on occasion of Paris Art Week at Palais Bourbon recently, Scarlett Rouge took visitors on a transcendental journey that combines her latest collaboration with contemporary rug maker cc-tapis, and her own mythological personal artworks. A journey through Myth, Memory and Mysticism featuring sculptural rugs and spiritually inspired artworks. Whether rug or canvas, each piece connects ancient traditions with contemporary interpretations blurring the boundaries between art and design.
